Meet Our Therapist: Megan Kellogg

We are excited to meet our new staff member, Megan Kellogg! Megan is a board certified music therapist and has worked with an array of clientele ranging from infants to seniors. Megan has worked with clients in many settings including schools, homes, and hospitals. Her clinical background includes working with clients with visual impairments, developmental disorders, Autism, cognitive delays, memory impairment, Down Syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy. Megan received her Bachelor of Music from Western Connecticut State University, and her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling/Music Therapy from Lesley University.

Get To Know Megan:

Q: How long have you been in Connecticut?

A:  I’ve been in Connecticut all my life! Connecticut has always been my home.

Q: What brought you to music therapy?

A: I’ve always had a desire to help others, and when I learned of music therapy I knew that was what I was meant to do with my life.

Q: What would you do if you won the lottery?

A: This is a great question! I think I would pay off some of my loans, and then use the rest to go on an awesome vacation to Europe.

Q: What is your favorite part of being a music therapist?

A: I would have to say that my favorite part about being a music therapist is watching my clients discover the strengths that they have inside. It’s always a beautiful moment just to witness that recognition. I also just love the new people I meet by being a music therapist, and the fact that I am constantly learning!

Welcome to CTMTS, Megan! We are happy to have you on the team.
